I want to take you on a journey. Imagine it is the night before you must go to work. You precede to do your nightly routine. You eat dinner, get your work clothes together, and take your nightly shower. After you dress for bed, you remember to set an alarm or two or three (If you’re like me) to ensure you wake up on time for work. You lay down in bed, close your eyes and drift off to sleep. “BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP”. You tiredly hit snooze. 15 minutes later, “BEEP, BEEP, BEEP”. You look at the time and say to yourself “I can sleep a little more” so you hit snooze again. Another 15 minutes pass by and “BEEP, BEEP, BEEP” your alarm goes off again. You look at the time and finally get out of the bed to get ready for work. You put your clothes on and gather your things to walk out the door. You unlock your car, place the keys in the ignition, start your car and begin driving without hesitation. You make it to work in 20 minutes. You get out of your car and walk into work.
Now you maybe thinking what is so special about a journey to work. In order to get to your destination, you had to go through a series of steps that required a level of faith. You had faith that that alarm would wake you up in time for work. You had faith that you could lay down and sleep and live another day. You had faith that your car would work and get you safely to work. Once you got to work, you were confident and walked right into the building to accomplish what you set out to accomplish. You had an unthinkable faith in doing your daily routine without doubt.
Many times, when it comes to having faith in GOD we think too hard, doubt, become impatient and may even give up. This is mainly because we are often waiting on something GOD has for us and we do not see GOD physically at work. The spiritual work journey requires an UNTHINKABLE FAITH, an UNWAVERING FAITH. Hebrews 11:1 (New International Version) says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”. You may not see what GOD has for you, but if you just believe more in GOD than that alarm clock used to wake you up, and you keep GOD’s WORD before you, seeing and hearing HIS WORD, you will BE FULL of confidence more than your car when you gas it up. YOU will get to where GOD wants you to be, YOU WILL WALK THROUGH THE DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY! The WORD SAYS in HEBREWS 12: 1-3 (New International Version) “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hold on to GODS WORD by reading and studying HIS WORD. When you do that, you will build up your faith and confidence in the LORD! Faith takes Work. Faith is a work journey! Remember when you arrive at your destination or receive what GOD has for you, the journey still continues.
