Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Lorenzo B. Griffin is an anointed man of GOD preaching and teaching the Master’s will. Born in Selma, Alabama his family has always been involved in civil rights and the rights for all people to express themselves spiritually. Pastor Griffin is a dynamic Man of GOD operating under GOD’s anointing to instruct the truth of tithing and Kingdom Living. His desire is to equip and empower the people of GOD to operate in their GOD given gifts (Ephesians 4:11-16).
Pastor Griffin is no stranger to serving, as he has served twenty-two (22) years honorably in the United States Army. Through his tenure he served in various domestic and foreign locations. He holds an Associate Degree from Vincesses University (Indiana) in Military Science. He is a recipient of various awards such as the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Presidential Service Medal. He retired from the United States Army as a Senior Non-Commission Officer in the Military Police Branch. Although he has retired from the military, his journey to serve continues as he preaches and teaches the Word of GOD.

In August of 2006, the LORD called him to serve at The Prevailing Word Christian Center where he was licensed as a Minister under Bishop Tommy L Robinson. In January 2010, Pastor Griffin under the direction of GOD was called to served faithfully at under the guidance of Bishop Larry L. Mann, Jr. In 2012 Pastor Griffin began serving as the Executive Pastor at Vision Covenant Church until GOD called him to serve as the Senior Pastor of The Prevailing Word Christian Center.
Pastor Griffin has truly received the favor of GOD as he and his lovely wife, Elder La’Vanda Griffin have celebrated over 30 years of marriage. The Lord has blessed their union with three (3) handsome sons; Derek, Stephen (Jasmine), Ta’lir, and a daughter Sheletia (DeJuan). GOD has given Pastor Griffin a vision that he and his wife work together in ministry preaching and teaching GOD’s Word in the areas of building stronger Families and empowering Men and Women to have GOD ordained Marriages and Relationships.

Meet Lady Elder
La' Vanda Griffin
Lady Elder La’Vanda K. Griffin serves faithfully and diligently with her husband Pastor Lorenzo Griffin at The Prevailing Word Christian Center, in Roseville MI. Lady La’Vanda understands the importance in honoring and serving under the authority of GOD both direct and delegated.
As her love for GOD’s people and desire to preach Kingdom Living grew, she saw a need to help the women of God to see their potential, love themselves, and become better mothers and daughters. Always remembering that they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). Lady Griffin believes that she is a living testimony that God can use the storm of your past to strengthen your future.
As her love for GOD’s people and desire to preach Kingdom Living grew, she saw a need to help the women of God to see their potential, love themselves, and become better mothers and daughters. As GOD had predestined, in 2009 Lady La’Vanda was elevated to the position of Sr. Elder at The Prevailing Word Christian Center. In 2010 Lady La’Vanda alongside her husband was led by GOD to Vision Covenant Church where they served for 4 years under the Leadership of Bishop Larry L. Mann, Jr. Which they came to understand was a season of preparation for the plan of GOD for their lives and ministry. During their tenure Lady La’Vanda served as Christian Education Director. In February 2014 Lady La’Vanda and her husband, Pastor Lorenzo Griffin were installed as the Sr. Pastors of The Prevailing Word Christian Center.
Lady La’Vanda or Lady V as she is affectionately known, is a praying woman and anointed teacher, who believes there is a lesson and a blessing in all things, especially when in all things we acknowledge HIM. Lady La’Vanda has been married to Pastor Griffin, an anointed man of God, for over 30 years. Her most cherished gift is her family. GOD has blessed her with three sons Derek, Stephen (Jasmine), Ta’Lir and her grandchildren. It is her prayer to always represent the King of Glory in excellence as a vessel ready to be used to encourage, empower, edify, and equip, GOD's people. While showing them what real love looks and feels like.
